HazChem Spill Kits are specifically designed to clean up spills of hazardous chemicals, acids and bases. They are also the kit to use when you don't know what the spill is. The kit containers are colour coded white, with pink absorbents, so you can quickly identify them in an emergency.
Hazardous Chemical Spill Kits contain specially treated absorbents to absorb concentrated corrosives without degrading or reacting. Even liquids such as 98% sulphuric acid and 30% sodium hydroxide! They typically include absorbent Mats, Socks, Pillows and Loose absorbents packed in the best type and size of container for your needs: bags, buckets, wheeled bins and more. We also offer a Cytotoxic Spill Kit for cytotoxic chemical spills, whether powder or liquid.
Different sized kits have slightly different components depending on your needs. The largest is the 240 litre HazChem Spill Kit, which can absorb up to 214 litres. This 240 litre HazChem Spill Kit comes in a wheelie bin, so it’s quickly mobile and keeps the contents clean and dry. The wheelie bin also resists chemicals. The next size down, also in a wheelie bin container, is the 120 litre HazMat Spill Kit, which can absorb 103 litres. Both kits include PIG HazMat Socks to stop spreading spills, PIG HazMat Pillows to absorb the bulk of the spill, and PIG HazMat Pads to absorb and clean up residue.
Our smallest option can absorb up to 41.6 litres and comes in compact hi-vis bag, with a strap for easy carrying and hanging. Because it’s easy to store, this kit is ideal for use on the road or in small cleaning chemical supply areas.
