Why absorbent mats are universally good?
Universal absorbent mats are perfect for maintenance, repair and general operations. That’s why they’re coloured a rather muted grey or blue, so they blend into the factory background and “hide the grime” instead of drawing attention to the overspray, drips or leaks they are absorbing. A good acronym to think about with universal absorbent mats is “COWS”, because they absorb coolants, oils, waters and solvents.
New Pig’s Universal Absorbent Mats’ 8 layers makes them the strongest on the market. Tthey don't rip, tear or fray — even when saturated. Along with their colour, this means they can stay down longer, saving money.
Universal absorbent mats come in a few different styles, so you can choose the one that suits your plant best.
New Pig’s Universal Absorbent Mat Pads are ideal for catching drips and soaking up spills, so they’re very popular. They come in a light-weight and heavy-weight, or if you’d prefer a roll, the PIG Universal Absorbent Mat Rolls come in heavy-weight (great for demanding tasks and large-volume clean-ups), medium-weight and light-weight. Then there’s the PIG Elephant Absorbent Mat Roll, which is made for heavy foot traffic or moderate to light wheeled traffic.
If you’re looking for a universal absorbent mat that has a sticky adhesive backing, there is a PIG Grippy Absorbent Mat Roll 15m, and a 7m version, as well as a PIG Grippy Absorbent Mat Pad. These don’t curl or bunch up, so are ideal to reduce trip hazards around workstations, walkways and machinery. The liquid-proof barrier keeps floors completely dry and they easily tolerate being walked on or driven over. The PIG Grippy Mats have been proven to reduce slip-and-fall claims by as much as 90%.
If you want to keep the top of your 200-litre drums as clean-looking as the floor, the PIG Barrel Top Absorbent Mat is perfect. They even have pre-cut holes for bungs.
And for something a bit different, the PIG 4 in 1 Absorbent Mat Roll (which comes in dispenser box) is a pad, roll, sock and wiper all in one.
