Spill containment decks, the safe, clean way to store drums
There’s no need to have messy, dangerous – and ugly! – drips and leaks on your factory floor. Storing your drums on a specially designed spill containment drip deck makes any spills and leaks from them easy to manage.
New Pig has three sizes in its PIG Poly Drip Deck range: for one, two and four 209-litre steel or poly drums.
The one-drum spill containment deck (66cm x 66cm) has a weight rating (or uniform distribution load, “UDL”) of 680kg and a sump capacity of 41 litres; the two-drum deck (66cm x 132cm) has a UDL of 1,360kg and a sump capacity of 83 litres; while the four-drum deck (132cm x 132cm) has a UDL of 2,721kg and a sump capacity of 166 litres.
The spill containment decks’ low-density polyethylene (LDPE) construction resists UV rays, rust, corrosion and most chemicals, while the translucent white sidewalls allow you to easily check to see if and when they need emptying.
These drip decks are the strongest on the market and won't buckle or bow. (In fact, New Pig tests all of its PIG Containment Deck designs at the maximum load – for months! – to ensure they can handle full capacity for customers.)
The sump section of each deck is made from linear LDPE with UV inhibitors, while the grate is made from injection-moulded polyethylene (PE). The is grating textured is to add traction plus and it lifts out, giving you easy access to the sump. Decks also have some recycled content, ranging from 39% post-industrial recycled PE (in the one-drum deck) up to 48% (four-drum deck).
The low profile on all units (they're just 15cm high) makes them easy to load and unload, while pumps and funnels are easy to access.
